Common questions from listing agents and brokerages.
Yes, Texas Drone Media operates under FAA Part 107, the federal license required for commercial drone flights. Every shoot is flown by an FAA Part 107 certified Remote Pilot — owner Cade Bertel holds the certificate personally. Liability insurance is in place for every flight. Operations follow Part 107 day-VLOS rules: 400-foot maximum altitude unless within 400 feet of a structure, daylight or civil-twilight only with anti-collision lighting, and a maintained visual line of sight. For listings inside controlled airspace — anywhere within five miles of DFW, Love Field, Waco Regional, and similar towered airports — Texas Drone Media files LAANC authorizations in advance so flights are pre-cleared at the listing date and time.
Flights are weather-dependent because the FAA prohibits drone operations in conditions that compromise control or visibility. Texas Drone Media monitors aviation-grade forecasts the day before and the morning of every shoot. If sustained winds exceed 20 mph, gusts exceed 25 mph, precipitation is active, or visibility falls below three miles, the flight is postponed to the next available slot at no cost. Most Central Texas and DFW shoots reschedule within 24 to 48 hours. There is no rescheduling fee and the original quote holds. For listing agents on tight market-window deadlines, the calendar is intentionally kept flexible — a same-week reschedule is the norm, not the exception.
Yes. Every real estate package includes both branded and unbranded deliverables to comply with MLS rules across Texas. Branded files include the brokerage name, agent contact, and any other identifying marketing the agent specifies. Unbranded files are clean — no logos, no overlays, no contact information — and are formatted to pass MLS submission rules across Texas MLS systems. Files are delivered via Google Drive in standard MLS-friendly formats: 1920x1080 stills for the photo upload, 1080p MP4 for video tours, and a separate unbranded YouTube link if the agent wants a streamable URL for buyer prospecting outside the MLS.
Standard turnaround is 48 hours for edited photos and 72 hours for edited video, starting from the moment the shoot wraps. Most listings receive their photo set the morning after the flight. Rush turnaround is available — 24-hour photo and 48-hour video — at a small surcharge for agents working a tight listing window or open-house deadline. Same-day delivery is occasionally possible for shoots flown before noon when the calendar allows. Texas Drone Media schedules most listing shoots within 48 to 72 hours of the initial request; in slower weeks, same-day or next-day flight scheduling is regularly available for repeat agent clients.
