    What We Do

    Photography

4K aerial progress photos shot in 4:3 aspect ratio. Captured on saved flight routes so every image lines up with the exact same position and angle as the last visit — clean side-by-side comparisons phase over phase.

    Videography

Stabilized 4K aerial video flown on saved routes, so cinematic orbits, reveals, and pull-aways start from the same point every visit. Cuts straight into monthly time-lapse compiles, sales decks, and social content.

    Photogrammetry

2D orthomosaic maps and 3D site models built from grid-flown imagery. Measure stockpiles, track earthwork volumes, and share interactive site views with your team.

    Construction Drone Monitoring FAQs

Common questions from GCs and developers.

How much does drone construction monitoring cost in Texas?

Texas Drone Media construction monitoring runs $150 to $400 per flight, with the price scaling with site size, deliverables, and visit frequency. A typical recurring schedule for an active build is bi-weekly aerial photos plus a monthly time-lapse compile. Larger sites with orthomosaic mapping, multi-altitude coverage, or rapid same-week turnarounds land near the top of that range; standalone progress flights with photo-only deliverables stay near the bottom. Texas Drone Media operates as an FAA Part 107 owner-operator out of Waco, so there's no agency markup — quotes come directly from the pilot. Free demo flights are available for general contractors evaluating recurring engagement. Pricing is per flight, billed monthly in arrears.

How often should I schedule drone progress flights on an active build?

Most construction projects benefit from a flight cadence between every 1 and 4 weeks, calibrated to construction velocity. Vertical phases — steel, framing, MEP — change weekly and warrant a 7-day cycle so the resulting time-lapse is useful. Sitework and exterior phases like pours, paving, and landscaping can stretch to bi-weekly or monthly because visible change is slower. Texas Drone Media recommends locking in a flight day-of-week (Tuesday or Friday is common) so the documentation set assembles into a clean weekly or bi-weekly time-lapse. For projects under 12 months, a recurring contract simplifies scheduling and locks in priority on the calendar; one-off flights are also available for milestone documentation.

What deliverables do I get from each construction flight?

Each flight includes 20 to 30 edited progress photos at 1:1 and 16:9 ratios, 5 to 10 minutes of stabilized 4K video b-roll, and an optional 2D orthomosaic map of the site for projects that need it. Files are delivered through a shared Google Drive folder within 48 hours for photos and 72 hours for video. Time-lapse compilations are produced monthly from the running photo set at no additional cost on recurring contracts. Texas Drone Media keeps the full raw archive available through project completion so general contractors and developers can pull additional frames or longer clips on request without scheduling a re-flight.

Is Texas Drone Media FAA Part 107 certified?

Yes. Owner Cade Bertel holds an active FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate, the federal license required for commercial drone operations in the United States. Texas Drone Media also files Part 107 airspace authorizations through LAANC for flights inside controlled airspace — within five miles of DFW, Love Field, Waco Regional, and other towered airports. All flights follow Part 107 day-VLOS rules and stay below the 400-foot AGL ceiling unless a structure waiver applies. Liability insurance is in place for every job. Texas Drone Media is also a member of the Heart of Texas Builders Association (HOTBA), connecting the work directly to the Central Texas builder community.
